Migration DB from Oracle to Postgres
Previously, Development, Test, and Production environments were all located within a single AWS account. This setup led to several issues including difficulty in managing and isolating resources, challenges with enforcing security and access controls, and increased risk of accidental changes impacting production systems.
The objective was to enhance operational efficiency and security by segregating the Development, Test, and Production environments into separate AWS accounts. This separation aims to improve resource management, minimize risks, and ensure that changes in one environment do not inadvertently affect others.
By allocating Development, Test, and Production environments into separate AWS accounts, we achieved a more secure and organized cloud infrastructure. The distinct accounts have improved the management and control of resources, enhanced security by isolating environments, and reduced the risk of accidental disruptions. This setup has also facilitated more effective monitoring and compliance with organizational policies.
