What You’ll Be Doing:
- Develop, customize, and maintain eCommerce solutions, particularly using WordPress (WooCommerce), CS-Cart, and OpenCart.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Build and implement new features, optimize existing code, and ensure optimal performance of web applications.
- Integrate with REST and SOAP APIs for payment processing, shipping, and other eCommerce services.
- Manage databases (primarily MySQL) to ensure data integrity and efficiency.
- Utilize version control (Git) for collaborative development and version management.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in PHP and familiarity with best practices for backend development.
- Experience with eCommerce platforms, including:
- WordPress (WooCommerce): Theme and plugin development/customization.
- CS-Cart: Extension development and customization.
- OpenCart: Development, extensions, and performance tuning.
- Front-end skills: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (experience with frameworks like jQuery is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of MySQL or similar databases for database management.
- Familiarity with Git for version control and collaborative development.
- Experience with API integration, especially REST and SOAP, for eCommerce-related services.
